The Garden Guild’s annual Show will take place on Sunday the 22nd August 2010. We have over 80 classes covering vegetables, flowers (cut and potted), domestic crafts (jams, pies, cakes) and handicrafts.
The show is “open” - anyone can enter and the entry fee is only 25p per item. There are special classes for children and for Garden Guild members.
Cash prizes go to the first and second in each class and there are cups and trophies to be won as well.
At 2.30, after the judging, the doors are thrown open to the general public who can come and look around and judge the exhibits for themselves. This is an excellent social occasion for all. Then, at about 4.15, there is an auction of produce - an excellent opportunity to buy fresh (possibly prize-winning) flowers, vegetables and cooking!
